Incredible hosts who go above and beyond, arranging vet appointments and ensuring all guests, including dogs, feel welcome. Beautiful garden and pool, with the option to have dinner by the poolside. Dogs are allowed to roam freely. The charming 300-year-old house has a unique character and the pool area offers plenty of seating. The rooms are spacious, newly decorated, and thoughtfully furnished. The outdoor area is pleasant and towels are provided for guests. Perfect stopover with a short detour from the motorway. The host is accommodating to young children, providing inflatables for the pool and preparing delicious homecooked meals. The family room is ideal for traveling with kids. Bakery nearby for tasty treats. Characterful property with modern conveniences. a delightful and memorable stay.

The rooms at La Maison Porte Bonheur are absolutely charming, with a cozy feel and a homely atmosphere. I loved the tile/marble floor in the double room, it added a touch of elegance to my stay. The private pool was a delightful bonus, perfect for a refreshing dip after a day of exploring.

Personally, I found the soundproofing in the twin room to be a bit lacking. But hey, I'm a light sleeper, so you might not even notice it!

The owners of the hotel were exceptional hosts and made us feel right at home. The dinner by the pool was a delightful experience, with delicious food and the company of other guests. The freedom for dogs to roam anywhere on the property was a huge plus for us and our furry friend. The heated pool was a pleasant surprise, and we even enjoyed a swim after breakfast. The 300-year-old house had its own charm and the pool area with the monkeys was a unique touch. we had a wonderful stay and would definitely consider returning.

We had a delightful stay at this characterful guest house, a perfect stopover for us on the way to Italy from the UK. The deceptively spacious house is in a charming little village and has a beautiful garden & pool. The hosts were outstanding and went out of their way to accommodate us and our dog. The dinner and breakfast provided were delicious, with fresh ingredients from the garden. Our quirky room was immaculate and had all the little touches that made our stay memorable. The pool area was lovely, and we even swam after breakfast. a unique and enjoyable experience. Can just recommend this hotel.

I absolutely loved the charming and unique decoration of this guest house. The 300-year-old house had so many quirky features that added to its charm. The general areas, including the garden and pool, were well-maintained and beautiful. As a senior woman, I found the hotel to be very accessible and comfortable. The hosts were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making sure I had everything I needed for a pleasant stay.

The only thing I would ask for a better vacation for senior people is if the children working there could provide a bit more assistance and support to older guests. Although they were friendly, a little more help would have been appreciated.

we had a wonderful stay at a charming guest house in Chantelle, exceeding our expectations. The spacious house had a beautiful garden & pool, perfect for cooling off after a long drive. The host was accommodating to our children and the delicious homecooked dinner included fresh vegetables from the garden.

No tea and coffee in the room.
