The rooms at La Maison Porte Bonheur are absolutely charming, with a cozy feel and a homely atmosphere. I loved the tile/marble floor in the double room, it added a touch of elegance to my stay. The private pool was a delightful bonus, perfect for a refreshing dip after a day of exploring.
Personally, I found the soundproofing in the twin room to be a bit lacking. But hey, I'm a light sleeper, so you might not even notice it!

The owners of the hotel were exceptional hosts and made us feel right at home. The dinner by the pool was a delightful experience, with delicious food and the company of other guests. The freedom for dogs to roam anywhere on the property was a huge plus for us and our furry friend. The heated pool was a pleasant surprise, and we even enjoyed a swim after breakfast. The 300-year-old house had its own charm and the pool area with the monkeys was a unique touch. we had a wonderful stay and would definitely consider returning.

I absolutely loved the charming and unique decoration of this guest house. The 300-year-old house had so many quirky features that added to its charm. The general areas, including the garden and pool, were well-maintained and beautiful. As a senior woman, I found the hotel to be very accessible and comfortable. The hosts were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making sure I had everything I needed for a pleasant stay.
The only thing I would ask for a better vacation for senior people is if the children working there could provide a bit more assistance and support to older guests. Although they were friendly, a little more help would have been appreciated.
